Desert Palm Riding School

The Desert Palm Riding School provides stabling for 25 private livery horses and 45 riding school owned horses. The riding school horses were selected from the UK as being suitable for beginners and intermediate riders alike. All of the horses are kept in top condition by a loyal team of grooms and instructors and are housed in Spanish style buildings, air conditioned in the hotter summer months and covered in Bougainvillea. The school has the luxury of grass turn-out paddocks, a rarity in the UAE.

There are five floodlit standard arenas and one large one housing two dressage arenas and a show jumping course. Three full time Instructors, all British Horse Society trained and qualified (and a pool of part time instructors), provide lessons for students of all standards, with classes starting for children from aged five years. Unaffiliated competitions and events, such as the Spinneys Cup one-day event and a branch of the British Pony Club, are held regularly in the winter months and attract the region's leading riders and horse enthusiasts.
