Using state-of-the-art, semi-automated production techniques, Fit Fresh sanitizes and processes a wide range of vegetables and prepares fruit and vegetable salads and fruit juices to the standards and packaged format required by high-end customers ready for consumption. In doing so, Fit Fresh adds real value for the customer by reducing its requirement for in-house labor and preparation facilities and its associated quality control and microbiological safety. It is also able to produce to quality standard consistently ahead of its competition and is able to preserve the freshness and appearance of its products for a significantly longer period than its competition by the precision of its cutting and its sanitization and handling techniques. Fit Fresh has also achieved a degree of vertical integration, growing up to 60% of its raw produce with own / contract growing facilities and delivering them direct to customers using its own chilled distribution system. As such, Fit Fresh represents a first-of-class model in the region.
